Graduate Outcomes and Career Placement

Graduate Outcomes and Career Placement
Let’s address the question you’re probably already thinking. Will I actually get a job after graduating from Pulse Radiology Institute?
It’s the right question to consider. Plenty of programs make big promises about career potential, but fewer back those promises with real outcomes. So here’s what actually happens when students graduate from Pulse Radiology Institute.
As of June 30, 2025, our retention rate, which reflects the percentage of students who stay enrolled at Pulse Radiology Institute, is 91.57%. Our graduation rate, which reflects the percentage of students who graduate on time, is 73.68%.
ARMRIT MRI Registry Pass Rates
Before working as an MRI technologist, students must successfully pass the ARMRIT MRI registry exam to earn MRI certification. This certification shows that a student has met the standards outlined by ARMRIT.
As of June 30, 2025, our ARMRIT pass rate is 95.12%.
Through our robust and comprehensive Associate Degree MRI Program, each student is taught the content needed to prepare for the certification exam while also developing the physical skill set to work confidently in an MRI environment. Final coursework specifically targets the content areas and question formats students may encounter on test day. By the time a student sits for the MRI registry, all coursework, clinical hours, and simulation training have been completed.
Pass rates matter because they reflect whether a program prepares students for real-world expectations. Anyone can teach theory. The question is whether that teaching translates into results when it counts.
Job Placement and Employment Statistics
Getting certified is step one. The overarching goal for Pulse Radiology Institute is to help students become gainfully employed as MRI technologists.
As of June 30, 2024, 77.38% of PRI graduates secured employment within six months of passing their registry exam.
Where do our graduates normally end up working? Due to the staffing shortage in MRI, our graduates enter a high-demand market. Many hospitals and imaging centers seek new MRI technologists each year. In some cases, graduates are hired at the clinical location where they performed their clinical externship.
Some graduates go straight into specialty practices. Orthopedic groups with dedicated MSK imaging. Neurology practices focused on brain and spine studies. Breast imaging centers where MRI plays a growing diagnostic role.
Mobile MRI services hire technologists who don’t mind traveling between facilities. The work is less predictable, but the variety appeals to certain personalities. And PRN positions, where you work as-needed across multiple sites, offer flexibility for those who want control over their schedules.
Geographically, our graduates work everywhere. Florida has a strong concentration because that’s where we’re based. But we’ve placed students in Texas, California, New York, the Midwest, and the Pacific Northwest. Wherever MRI scanners exist, job opportunities exist.
What PRI Graduates Earn
All prospective students are encouraged to refer to the Bureau of Labor Statistics for MRI technologist salary data. Salaries can vary by state, but a career in MRI can offer a fulfilling and meaningful path in healthcare.
For context, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the national median pay for MRI technologists at $88,180 as of 2024, with the top 10% earning over $100,000. With proper training and experience, these salary ranges may be attainable depending on the state of residency, employer, and local demand.
As mentioned, geography plays a significant role. California, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington consistently offer some of the highest wages because the cost of living tends to be higher in those states. Even in lower-cost regions, MRI technologists’ salaries can comfortably exceed the median household income.
Career Services Support
As mentioned, your degree and certification are earned, not given.
Career services help students approaching graduation prepare for interviews and post-PRI life. Our career services department is experienced and well-equipped to help students prepare resumes built for MRI positions.
Another important feature is preparing for an MRI position interview, which is normally different from many past job interviews. Our interview techniques help students understand how to answer questions a radiology administrator may ask and how to communicate with confidence.
We also maintain relationships with employers who specifically recruit PRI graduates. These are not just job board postings anyone can find. They are direct connections with radiology administrators, imaging directors, and HR managers who trust our program and reach out when positions open.
Support doesn’t expire at graduation either. Alumni come back for advice when they’re considering job changes or thinking about additional certifications. Once you’re part of PRI, you are always part of the PRI family.

Our student feedback speaks for itself, and several students have shared inspiring testimonials:
“I had the privilege of just graduating from Pulse Radiology Institute. I had an incredible experience! First of all, if you want a direct path for MRI this is a great and very affordable option. Secondly, the education is very thorough and you will be very supported during your time here and well prepared for taking your registry.
All of my professors and the staff have been so helpful for me during my time here and I just recently accepted my first job as a full time MRI tech. I’m so excited for my new career and I am very grateful for this program with PRI.
A special shout out to Taylor Paul for all of her help and support throughout the program as well as with my clinicals. If you are considering attending PRI, I strongly encourage you to do it! I have already recommended this program to several friends and acquaintances.”

“I want to share a review from my experience as a student of Pulse Radiology Institute. I recently graduated, walked the stage and am now sitting for my MRI registry. I am so honored to be considered an alumni of PRI! They held an in person graduation in Jacksonville, where my family attended and for those that were not there in person were able to watch the ceremony live on YouTube. This program deserves 5 stars!!! I can attest that on several events, I have actually helped ARRT technologists fix a scan and feel ready and excited to be an MRI technologist.”
- Costa
“My experience with Pulse Radiology Institute has been an amazing journey. From the time I submitted a request for more information to the start of my classes the staff has been very attentive and amazing. I was referred to Pulse Radiology Institute by a co-worker that had completed the MRI program. This Institution is a great fit for me as I am a working adult that would not normally have the time to attend a classroom setting. The staff and teachers are amazing. Ms. Gladys guided me through the process of registration and helped me get all the documents necessary to continue the registration process. The teachers are very hands on and are very attentive and easy to reach out to if need be. I would recommend Pulse Radiology to anyone that would like to pursue a career in the MRI field and are not able to commit to a traditional classroom setting.”
